Frequently asked questions
What are repeating decimals?
Some fractions never terminate (like 1/3 = 0.333…). The calculator shows 10 decimal places so you can see the repeating pattern.
Can I enter mixed numbers like 2½?
Not in this version — convert a mixed number to an improper fraction first (e.g. 2½ = 5/2).
Do improper fractions work?
Yes — 5/4 = 1.25. Anything where the top exceeds the bottom works fine.
Why show the percentage too?
Because many real uses are percents — grades, discounts, probabilities. Seeing all three forms at once saves a step.
