Frequently asked questions
Is the start date included in the count?
By convention this calculator counts the days between the dates — the start day itself is not counted, the end day is. So Jan 1 to Jan 2 = 1 day.
Can it count only working days?
Yes — enable business-days mode to exclude weekends. Note it doesn't know regional public holidays, so add those manually for exact HR/payroll use.
Does it work for past dates?
Yes, any two dates in either order — it also tells you how long ago something happened.
Why not just use a calendar?
You can, but counting 200+ days by hand is error-prone. This is instant and exact, including leap years.
